Aamir Khan, Naga Chaitanya, and Mona Singh from the Laal Singh Chaddha cast visited the National War Memorial in Delhi to honour Indian war heroes. On Tuesday, Chaitanya posted numerous images from their trip to social media. Both Aamir and Chaitanya play Indian Army soldiers in the movie. This Friday, Laal Singh Chaddha is set to open in theatres.
“Morning well spent at the National War Memorial New Delhi with the team of #laalsinghchaddha,” Naga Chaitanya wrote along with the photos she shared on Instagram. What a wonderful experience. The film’s production crew also shared additional images. Aamir can be seen in the photos bowing before a wall bearing the names of Indian Army soldiers who lost their lives in the Kargil War while his hands are folded. In other images, Mona Singh and Chaitanya can be seen visiting the same gravesite. Aamir can be seen interacting with some members of the Indian Army in another image.
Aamir plays a straightforward Punjabi man who enlists in the Indian Army, where he meets Chaitanya’s character Bala. Together, they engage in combat in the Kargil War. The movie is an official Hindi remake of the Forrest Gump, an Oscar-winning film from 1994.
