Currently, Cheteshwar Pujara is in a rich vein of form. He recently reached 5,000 runs in List A cricket. The veteran of India’s Test matches reached the milestone on Tuesday at Hove during Sussex’s One Day Cup match against Middlesex. During his team Sussex’s game against Middlesex, Pujara displayed a rarely seen side of himself by scoring 132 runs in just 90 balls while hitting 20 fours and two sixes. He had a fantastic strike rate of 146.66 when he was scoring runs. Pujara played for Sussex earlier in the season in the County Championship’s longer format as well.
Mohammad Rizwan, the Pakistan opener who is currently in the UAE for the Asia Cup, joined him in the Sussex team. Pujara recently praised Rizwan. “He is a very nice guy and a talented cricketer, I enjoyed my time with him”, he said on Twitter.
