
Six persons died in a fire that started at a plastic plant in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, on Monday. The incident took place in the area of Chawkbazar.
After the blaze was put out in the afternoon, the six burned remains were found by firefighters. Osman (25), Billal (35), Shopon (22) and Sharif were four of the dead (20). Two more people who died have yet to have their identities confirmed.
India Today received confirmation of the incident from Zillu Rahman, Director of Fire Service and Civil Defenses Central UNI. Around 2:30 pm today, the fire was brought under control by as many as 10 firefighting units.
According to the fire department, the cylinder at the Barisal Hotel, which is on the ground floor of a three-story building, is where the fire started at 12:30 p.m.
Anwarul Islam, a warehouse inspector for Fire Service and Civil Defense, had earlier stated that the rescue effort was still in progress.
