Lord Ganesh Idol unveils in Allu Arjun’s look from Pushpa

On Tuesday, the actor’s fan groups posted images and videos of a Ganpati statue, where the god is depicted relaxing in a white kurta-pyjama, just like Arjun did in the movie. The superstar also imitated Pushpa’s famous motion from the movie. Other fan groups provided images of similar idols that were modelled after Pushpa’s appearance and behaviour in the movie. With large pandals in the state of Maharashtra, where several of the Pushpa-inspired idols have been reported, Ganesh Chaturthi is a well-known celebration throughout India.

A Telugu actor has joined the ranks of Telugu actors who have inspired idols, days after it was revealed that Ram Charan’s appearance from the blockbuster RRR had inspired Lord Ganesh statues ahead of the festive season. Several Ganpati idols have been inspired by Allu Arjun’s unusual appearance and style from the film Pushpa: The Rise from the previous year just before Ganesh Chaturthi.

Ram Charan and Jr. NTR’s fan clubs shared Ganpati idols on Monday from Delhi and other locations that were based on their characters from RRR. One fan tweeted, “This is Tollywood domination,” in response to the Telugu actors functioning as the idols in locations like Maharashtra and Delhi. Another admirer commended Arjun’s popularity, saying, “This is at the pinnacle of it across India.”
