Mumtaz, the veteran actor, is 75 years old today. Her businessman husband, Mayur Madhvani, celebrated the event with a lavish meal in Uganda, attended by both her daughters Tanya and Natasha and their children. The star has confessed that he gave her jewellery and a Mercedes for her birthday.
Mumtaz told ETimes about her birthday celebrations, saying that her entire family had come to support her. When asked what her spouse had given her on the occasion, she replied, “He has given me nearly everything in life.” But, if you’re wondering about today’s birthday, he’s given me the most recent model of a Mercedes. “There’s also jewellery.”
Mumtaz also recalled how she was too busy in the Hindi film industry to celebrate her birthdays. “Every time a cake was called and everybody shouted,” she said of celebrating birthdays on site. But I was so busy during my career that celebrations toh door ki baat (forget about celebrations), I couldn’t find the time to witness any of my films that were released.”
The actor, on the other hand, denies feeling 75 and insists she is still 18. “I’m still dancing. I still work out for approximately 90 minutes a day,” she continued.
