To release the trailer, Mahesh Babu used his Twitter account on Thursday. “Glad to launch the intense & gripping trailer of #TheGhost!,” he wrote in a post sharing a link to it. I’m sending my best wishes to @iamnagarjuna and the entire team. Nagarjuna replied to the tweet by writing, “Greetings, @urstrulyMahesh! When your father, Superstar Krishna Garu, joined me for the film Varasudu 29 years ago, I was happy! Why don’t we finish the circuit?”

In the upcoming Telugu action drama The Ghost, directed by Praveen Sattaru, Nagarjuna will play a merciless killer. On Thursday, a trailer for the movie was unveiled, and it showed plenty of blood, weapons, and yakuza swords. The two-minute video clearly included elements from Liam Neeson’s 2008 movie Taken.

In the opening moments of the trailer, Nagarjuna’s father asks him at a young age to promise to take care of her sister. The actor appears to be a strong and skilled man battling ruthless criminals to defend a young woman 20 years later. The storyline appeared to have drawn heavily from the film Taken, in which Liam Neeson portrays a man with a unique set of skills who will do anything to find his daughter. Nagarjuna, who is also very talented in The Ghost, embarks on a mission to save his sister and her daughter after learning that their lives are in danger.

Here is the tweet from Mahesh Babu:

Nagarjuna replied to Mahesh’s tweet:

Sonal Chauhan, Gul Panag, Anikha Surendran, Manish Chaudhari, Ravi Varma, Shrikanth Iyyangar, and Bilal Hossein are among the other actors who appear in the movie. It will be released in theatres on October 5.
