On June 3, Vikram was released, and in its first week of release, it brought in 164.75 crores. The movie has also been subtitled and released in Telugu, Malayalam, and Hindi. In the movie, Kamal Haasan plays the part of Vikram, a former agent who vows to exact revenge on the narcotics agency for killing his son, an undercover agent. On July 8, Lokesh Kanagaraj’s film had a digital distribution on the OTT service Disney+ Hotstar.
Suriya, Vijay Sethupathi, and Fahadh Faasil also make brief appearances in the movie. After the film was released, Kamal Haasan met with the media in Chennai and expressed his delight at the response. The success, he claimed, will only spur them on to put in more effort during their next partnership. Suriya, an actor, was thanked for agreeing to have a 10-minute cameo in the film. Rolex is the name of the character played by Suriya, who appears as the primary adversary.
