Twitter is now focussing on vertical videos on the feed like TikTok

Twitter has opted to concentrate on the same format for videos on its platform since vertical videos have obviously captured people’s imaginations and interests.

Twitter said in its blog post recently saying, “Twitter’s updated immersive media viewer expands videos to full screen with a single click, allowing you to easily access the full, immersive viewing experience. To activate it, simply tap/click on a video in the Twitter app.”

To return to the main Twitter feed, Twitter users can swipe back or hit the back button. The new video format will be added to the primary tweet, which users can like, retweet, and react to, in the Explore section of Twitter.

Although tweets have historically been the main focus of Twitter, new features are increasingly beginning to take centre stage. Additionally, Twitter offers its Blue membership, which gives users a sneak peek at the eagerly anticipated Edit tweet tool. Instagram is also switching from still images to a 9:16 format for its user interface, which was initially trialled but removed after user complaints.
