Rishi seeks money from Dhanraj in lieu of starting a business and says he is doing it for Kusum’s better life and comfort after marriage. Sayuri hears their conversation and thinks his true intention is out. Dhanraj says he will inform him after consulting his family. Rishi fumes thinking old man is acting oversmart. Daadi Mausi interferes and asks Dhanraj to give him the money he has kept for Kusum as even Saroj would done same. Sayuri interferes and says Dhanraj should give money for Kusum’s comfort but in Kusum’s name, in fact Rishi should open business in Kusum’s name as she is their family’s laxmi and in fact he should transfer bunglow and cars also in Kusum’s name. Daadi Mausi believes she is correct because her husband has created a shop in her name and their business is doing well. She brings Dhanraj in to make wedding plans for tomorrow.
Kusum has mehandi done on her hands. Bhanu and Indu talk about how Kusum’s desire of living overseas after marriage is coming true. Kusum is hoping that Kanha and Sayuri will save her from marrying Rishi. Kanha and Nakul attempt to meet a lady connected to Rishi, and when she does not open her house door, they storm in and urge her not to try to flee. Kanha claims that Rishi is marrying his sister Kusum, and that he loves his sister and wishes to protect her from Rishi, therefore she should confess the truth. Lady claims to know Rishi and to have Rishi and her numerous images in her room; she will get them. She enters the room and softly exits.
Sayuri mocks Rishi, saying she would not let him carry out his plan, and tells him that Kanha and Nakul have gone to gather evidence against him and will not spare him if he is found here. She walks in and urges him to leave before they arrive. Rishi chooses a stone to throw at her but loses sight of Rashmi. He believes that after his marriage with Kusum is finished, he will punish both Sayuri and Kanha for their arrogance.
Rishi points a gun at Kusum and threatens to kill her brothers if they try to call off their wedding; but, he will not harm her because she is his blank cheque, which he would cash for the rest of his life. Though her brothers present proof against him, he threatens to act as if he does not believe them. Kusum begs him to save her brothers and agrees to keep quiet. Lady flees the room, fearful that Rishi will kill her. Kanha apprehends her and begs her to divulge the truth if her game of hide and seek is ended.
