The seven-time Ballon d’Or winner Lionel Messi will extend his contract with Paris St Germain for another year putting an end to the rumours claiming he will return to Barcelona.
According to the BBC reports, Lionel Messi had reached an “agreement in principle” which has a one-year extension. This came after 4 months of meetings between his father Jorge and PSG director of football Luis Cmampos.
Messi joined PSG in 2021 with two years of contract which has a one-year extension option. Before this Messi spent his entire football career with Barcelona.
Earlier Messi had desired to retire after World Cup but now he changes his mind and decided to play. As all know Argentina lifts the World Cup after 36 years under his captaincy.
